Meet Min. Shelley

I first encountered the LORD at age 16 while searching for the reason I was born. In that moment, He gave me a glimpse of my purpose—and of where I truly come from. At 22, the call of ministry came. I was deeply broken, yet He came to me and said, “I need you.” His words prompted a response in me:  "Do you realize I need You far more than you need me"?

He then led me to Romans 10:14–15: “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!’” I wept as I understood His message to me concerning His people. Afterward, He instructed me to read the Word of God daily—and I did.

Years passed, and at age 34, the commission came: to go and recover what belongs to Him from the kingdom of darkness. I said yes. I also declared that while I was there, I would recover not only what is His, but also what is mine. I understood the cost and the sacrifice. As I said then, I still hold fast today: “If I lose my life, so be it—I am willing. Where I end, the LORD will raise up someone else to begin and continue.” The founding of EL-OHIM Ministries represents the spiritual authority of what the LORD called Open Heaven International Ministries. He instructed me to take the first letter of each word and place “EL” before it: ELOHIM. I was amazed by His creativity.

EL-OHIM Ministries is His work, performed by Himself - for Himself. I am simply the conduit—the hands and feet through which He works to recover His inheritance: His people.
